Benedicta Akesse Annan

Benedicta Akesse Annan is an Associate at Ntrakwah & Co., specialising in Environmental Law with a focus on sustainability, climate change, ESG strategies, and corporate and commercial law. She advises organizations on navigating climate‑related challenges and regulatory compliance, and is trained by the World Bank and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in sustainability reporting, environmental systems management, and ESG strategies for businesses and non‑governmental organisations.

She also has extensive experience in intellectual property law, assisting clients with trademark registration, copyright protection, IP portfolio management, licensing agreements, and brand protection strategies, regularly guiding start‑ups, SMEs, and creative businesses on safeguarding and maximising the commercial value of their intellectual property assets. Her corporate and commercial practice includes advising on business formation, contract drafting, regulatory compliance, and governance frameworks. She serves as an executive council member for various mining and climate change NGOs, contributing insights on the impact of climate change on organisations.

Benedicta holds an LL.B. from the University of Ghana, Legon, and was called to the Ghana Bar in 2022 after completing her professional training at the Ghana School of Law. She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association.
