Kwabena Oppong-Kyekyeku

Kwabena Oppong-Kyekyeku is a Partner and Co‑Founder at OAKS Legal, specialising in corporate law, banking and finance, and dispute resolution. He has extensive experience advising on complex cross‑border and domestic finance transactions, credit arrangements, and structuring and negotiating a wide range of financing facilities.

Kwabena has advised the Ministry of Finance on Ghana's successful USD 3 billion Sovereign Bonds in 2019, 2020, and 2021, and has a strong understanding of the African legal and business landscape, with expertise in advising companies setting up in emerging markets, ranging from assisting investors to establishing businesses and consultancies. He also has experience in dispute resolution, particularly arbitration, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Kwabena holds a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Ghana and an LL.B (Hons) from the Wisconsin International University College. He is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana and a member of the Ghana Bar Association.

He was a finalist for the "Private Practice Most Promising Newcomer Award" at the African Legal Awards 2021 and is a contributor to the World Bank Business Ready Project 2023 and the World Justice Project Rule of Law Index 2023.
