Michael Jojo Acquah, ESQ

Michael Jojo Acquah, Esq. is the Managing Partner of Acquah Law, with over 31 years of experience (called to the Ghana Bar in 1995) specialising in corporate law, corporate governance, commercial transactions, and international trade. He provides legal advisory and consulting services to corporate clients, including representation in local and international arbitration.

He has consulted on the review of Ghana's corporate governance framework as part of the African Peer Review Mechanism under the NEPAD initiative, and the country corporate governance assessment under the World Bank and IMF's Reports on the Observance of Standards and Codes (ROSC) program. He has also served on a number of Government committees in the financial and legislative review sectors, and has collaborated on multi-lateral agency projects. He is a duly-licensed Notary Public and has previously served as Counsel to the Legal Aid Board of Ghana. He continues to volunteer legal services to needy members of society on a pro bono basis.

He holds an LL.B and was called to the Ghana Bar in 1995. He is a registered member of the Ghana Bar Association and has served on its committees and the Editorial Board of the Ghana Bar Reports. He is proficient in English and four local Ghanaian languages.
