Nana Yaw Ntrakwah

Nana Yaw Ntrakwah is a Senior Partner at Ntrakwah & Co., heading the firm’s Litigation practice as well as the Energy and Natural Resources practice. He specialises in dispute resolution, corporate litigation, regulatory compliance, transactional structuring, and corporate governance across diverse industries including energy, oil and gas, mining, aviation, banking and finance, technology, maritime, and telecommunications.

He has represented multinational and local clients in high‑stakes disputes, some of which have reached the Supreme Court of Ghana and are reported in the Supreme Court of Ghana Law Reports. He provides comprehensive legal risk assessment and management strategies to help clients mitigate potential challenges before they arise. He has extensive experience advising on joint ventures in the upstream oil and gas sector in Ghana, among other high‑value transactions. He is also the founder of The Aveisonian, an enthusiasts’ institute dedicated to promoting knowledge and engagement in aviation.

Nana Yaw holds an LL.M in Energy Law from the University of Groningen (joint degree with the Universities of Oslo, Aberdeen & Copenhagen), an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Exeter, UK, and a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia College, USA. He completed his professional training at the Ghana School of Law and the Inns of Court School of Law / City University, London. He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association, the Bar of England and Wales (Middle Temple), the Litigation Counsel of America, and the Corporate Law Institute.
